Masters of Horror: Jennifer…. Uh, More Like Dinnifer

Two seasons. Twenty-six episodes total written by some of the best horror screenplay writers, or so the show says. Its a great concept and as a horror fanatic it seemed like the perfect series for me. I’ve seen it before, but it had been a few years, so when I found it on hulu I thought that I might as well watch it from the very beginning. The link is here. I reviewed each episodes for your enjoyment.

Masters of Horror is a series of one hour long stories that does not have a consecutive plot. If you are wondering how that’s possible, well there’s this cult classic from the 1960’s that also had been remastered when I was a child called The Outer Limits. Basically for one hour every week you get a scary or strange storytelling.

Season One Part Four

Jennifer

Episode four. “Jennifer.” A simple title with very little meaning except for the fact that is the character this episode REALLY revolves around’s name. A cop with the same sort of charm Clint Eastwood must have had at a young age spots a man about to kill a teenager with a disfigured face. After finding out she’s been sent to a mental institution he decides to take her in, but learns it probably would have been better if she had stayed locked up. While she was not really being treated right nothing horrid would happen to him otherwise.

He takes her to his house where she seriously freaks out his cat. After having an intense dream he wakes up to find her standing in the corner only in some bed sheets. His wife walks in and starts screaming which causes Jennifer to scream. His anarchist son walks in and starts swearing when he sees Jennifer’s face. After a yelling match his wife declares that Jennifer has to go.

Mr. Knight-in-shining-armor takes her to everyone he knows and no one will take her. Then the first sex scene of the episode. In a car. A car. Really? Really? Anyways, he takes her back and he claims “just one more night” and his wife declares that either Jennifer goes or she goes. Totally understandable ultimatum. Of a witch. So after Jennifer eats his cat his wife leaves him.

Jennifer kills a kid and the cop tries to get someone at the circus to taking Jennifer, but he finds him in his fridge. He takes her to a hidden cabin and hides out there. He gets a job with a woman and her son. Jennifer sees and gets jealous. Unfortunatly it is entirely predictable from here. I’ve left out some more sex scenes. Its strange.

I would not really recommend “Jennifer” to you.

Episode four gets 2 out of 5 remotes.

There are definitely a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to deliver up. I provide the thoughts above as common inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you convey up the place an important factor shall be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around issues like that, but I am positive that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls really feel the impression of just a second’s pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.
